even before america entered the war it shipped so much military equipment to russia and the other allies that its ridiculous. just like ukraine today, the USSR would have gotten their shyt pushed in without american aid.

The Soviets were decades behind the West and couldn't mass produce regular things until the 50's and later and even then in limited batches... like there's still things today that they can't create domestically that we take for granted

if you watch videos about their 5 year plans or their domestic airplane and ship building industry you will feel like you're losing your mind

Russia's natural population growth has been negative or flat since 2000, which means that overall deaths have outnumbered births. Only 1.27mn babies were born in Russia last year, the lowest number since 2000. The drop in the birth rate echoes the massive drop in the 1990s following the breakup of the Soviet Union
